The Towson University license for SPSS version 19 will expire on July 31, 2019. SPSS 19 will no longer run after the license expires. All university SPSS users will need to upgrade to version 20 or 21 on office computers, computer labs, and smart classrooms prior to July 31. The Office of Technology Services recommends upgrading to version 21, so the next required upgrade will occur in two years.
SPSS on Virtual Workspace
The SPSS 19 version on Virtual Workspace will be upgraded to SPSS 21 on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Generally, the Virtual Workspace two-year upgrade cycle (explained in the SAS/SPSS website below) is followed.

SPSS in Classrooms and Computer Labs
Colleges and departments must plan for SPSS deployments for their classrooms and labs. Generally, the Virtual Workspace two-year cycle (explained in the SAS/SPSS website above) is followed and they will remain at SPSS version 21.
