This year’s conference, “Growing yoU in TU,” is being held on Thursday, October 13, 2011, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University Union.
The program offers many topics on professional and personal development designed to help you succeed in business and excel in personal enjoyment. Spend the day enjoying free food, gifts, door prizes and camaraderie. Lunch promises to be entertaining and delicious.
Sessions are offered in the morning and the afternoon so that university offices can remain open to serve our students and other customers, while allowing most staff an opportunity to attend.
This year we are partnering with Operation Warm ({www.operationwarm.org}) so that children right here in Baltimore are not among the millions of children without a winter coat.
How can YOU help? At the conference:
o Drop off new hats, gloves and scarves so that they can be paired with the new winter coats that will be distributed in Baltimore. Handmade/knit items will be accepted too.
o Make a donation so that they are able to raise money towards the costs of the coats. Currently it costs $20 to provide a child with the gift of a new winter coat.
