Office of Technology Services Training is offering a wide variety of Blackboard workshops over spring 2006 to help you with your Blackboard course site:
Blackboard Discussion Boards
Monday, April 24: 9-11 a.m.
The Discussion Board is an area where students can discuss a topic you designate. This would be the same as having an in class discussion but facilitated online instead. After creating a main topic for the students to discuss, they can respond to your topic and other students posts.
Blackboard: End of Semester Maintenance
Thursday, May 11: 9-11 a.m.
Once the semester has come to an end there are certain steps you must take to properly maintain your course site. Learn to designate your course site for future use or storage, save a backup of your course site, remove students, set your course site to unavailable and recycle old statistics.
Blackboard: Gradebook
Monday, June 19: 9-11 a.m.
Learn the new features of the gradebook.
Blackboard: Managing Your Course Site
Sign Up Now! Friday, Jan. 27: 3-4:30 p.m.
Learn techniques for managing your Blackboard course sites. Some workshop topics include: managing multiple sections of a course, archiving your course site, exporting gradebook information, recycling course components and your responsibilities as instructor.

Monday, March 13: 9-11 a.m.
Learn the new test environment and how to create assignments.
