What’s it like to teach and learn in online or hybrid (part online, part face-to-face) courses? A panel of faculty from UMBC’s three online master’s programs in Emergency Health Services, Education, and Information Systems will describe their experiences and share their thoughts on what it would take to support this mode of delivery for UMBC’s undergraduate curriculum. Note: This workshop will broadcast via the USM Interactive Video Network (IVN).

Nationally recognized panelists will provide a compilation of best practices for teaching distance learning courses. Panelists will present:
– best practices for enhancing effectiveness in online and distance teaching
– verified techniques, activities and approaches to employ in specific situations
– good pedagogical resources that optimize faculty time by eliminating the need to “reinvent the wheel” with each course
Please note: Pedagogy 101 is NOT a prerequisite for this course.
