The University of Maryland, College Park has announced that they are now accepting tuition remission requests for their Summer 2004 sessions with the following limitations and deadlines:
* Full-time regular faculty and staff employees are eligible for a maximum of 6 credit hours, which may be taken in either summer session or spread out over both sessions. Part-time regular employees (50% or greater) are limited to 3 credit hours, which may be taken in either summer session or spread out over both sessions.
* Eligible spouse/dependent children are entitled to a maximum of 4 credit hours total for the entire summer.
* Deadlines for acceptance of all tuition remission forms are Tuesday, June 1 for Summer Session I and Monday, July 12 for Summer Session II.
* Programs excluded from tuition remission at UMCP include Summer Programs for High School students (Young Scholars, The Arts at Maryland), UMEI courses and Math 0XX-Intermedial Mathematics courses.
Tuition remission forms are available from both Towson?s Office of Human Resources and the Bursar’s Office, as well as under the Forms section of the OHR Benefits Web site at {http://wwwnew.towson.edu/hr/benefits.html}
All requests for tuition remission at Towson or at any of the other USM schools and other participating institutions must be returned to Towson?s OHR for certification and processing.
