Bring “Play” Back to 33rd Street.

On Friday, April 15, Towson students will be helping to build a one-acre, community-designed playground in the Waverly neighborhood, on the former Memorial Stadium site (33rd and Ellerslie), just 4 miles from campus. Their goal is to provide over 100 student and faculty volunteers, covering 3 shifts: 8:30 – 12pm., 12:30 – 5pm; and 5:30 – 8:30 pm

Towson faculty, staff and their families are invited to join the effort, along with volunteers from Johns Hopkins and Morgan State. Meals will be provided at each shift as well as instructions/orientation. No experience is necessary; children as young as 14 may participate but need to be accompanied by a parent.

For more information, and to sign up to volunteer, contact Cindy Hartzler-Miller, Department of Secondary Education, 410-704-4957, {chartzlermiller@towson.edu}.
