Maryland Writing Project 29th Annual Invitational Summer Institute Visitors’ Day
The Maryland Writing Project invites the campus community to participate in our 29th annual Visitors? Day on Friday, July 16, 2010. Each summer at our Invitational Summer Institute outstanding teachers from across the state gather to share their best teaching practices, examine educational research and philosophies, read about and discuss current trends in education, and, most importantly, explore the world of the writer.
Each MWP Teacher-Consultant also develops a research-based presentation based on a successful teaching practice. During our Visitors? Day, not only will you learn more about the important work of the Maryland and National Writing Projects, but you will also participate in model presentations applicable to all grade levels and content areas that this year?s Teacher-Consultants have developed.
We will meet on July 16 at 9:00 AM for refreshments in the new Towson University Liberal Arts Building, 3rd Floor Lounge, at 9:30 AM, with presentation sessions following at 10 AM.
If you are able to join us, please mark your calendar and call us to reserve a space at 410-704-3593 or e-mail our office at {mstelzig@towson.edu}.
Many have said that there is a kind of magic within the Invitational Summer Institute. We hope you will join us on July 16 to experience a bit of it yourself.
