College students throughout the Mid-Atlantic region have two new options for earning up to six credits from Towson University by studying global trends affecting professional communicators, with an emphasis on Russia and the USA.
OPTION #1: Undergraduate and graduate independent study projects (3 credits) that focus on this topic are being offered in Minimester 2010 and the spring 2010 term by TU Prof. Mark McElreath and instructor Gala Duckworth. Limited availability – enroll before the end of November.
OPTION #2: Ten day study abroad program (3 credits) on the same topic in St. Petersburg, Russia from May 23rd to June 2nd, with one full day in Paris, France. Led by TU Prof. McElreath. Cost: $4,750 includes academic credit, health insurance, airfare, housing, most meals, and excursions. Additional costs include $150 study abroad fee, any meals not included, and personal expenses. Application deadline: March 15, 2010. Space is limited so early application is recommended. Russian language not required – all seminars, excursions and tours conducted in English. Highlights include educational seminars by Russian professionals, tours of world-famous museums and palaces, a boat cruise on the beautiful Neva River, a Russian theatre performance and much more.
