The Digital Media Classroom (DMC) services have undergone a software upgrade to enhance the methods used to view captured presentations and to communicate with presenters.
For those new to DMC, it allows you to deliver and record your instructional content of a face-to-face classroom which can be viewed by your students via the web.
You can capture your weekly instructional units and record individual review sessions for your online, face-to-face or hybrid courses. The classrooms are located on the fourth floor of Cook Library, College of Liberal Arts and 7801 York Road.
DMC recordings are available for posting online within minutes and can be accessed 24/7 from home, school, work or even from the beach!
During the summer break, the Digital Media Classroom service, Mediasite, was upgraded to the newest version, which allows for:
1. Playback of recordings on mobile devices like the Android, Blackberry, iPhone, iPod and iPad. Details of playback requirements for viewing recordings on mobile devices are available from the DMC website: {http://www.towson.edu/adminfinance/ots/dmc/viewingdmcrecordings.asp}.
2. Requiring viewers of presentations to be authenticated via Blackboard, Towson Login or provided password
3. Polling of presentation viewers
4. Viewers can email questions directly to you while viewing a live broadcast or playback of your presentation
