FY08 permits expire August 31. FY09 Permits are currently being recognized.
Faculty/staff permit sales began July 14, 2008. If you used payroll deduction last year and have not yet received your permit for this year, please contact the Auxiliary Services Business Office at x4-2284 to check on the status of your renewal.
Any faculty or staff member who did not use payroll deduction last year may purchase their permit online, through the mail or in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office. Please see the parking Web site at {http://parking.towson.edu} for additional information.
Below are the main parking changes for fall 2009:
? New AVI gate control equipment has been installed. An AVI device will be included with each faculty/staff permit. Please mount the tag behind your rear view mirror below the tint line (if located here, device must be removed while driving) or in the lower seven inches of the driver?s side windshield. The tag will automatically open any gate as you drive up ? no more need to insert a gate card.
? AVI tags can be used from one year to the next, provided you continue to maintain an active faculty/staff parking permit.
? AVI tags may be transferred between vehicles belonging to the permit holder.
? All gate cards will be deactivated effective September 12, 2008.
? Lot 5 outside of Linthicum has been permanently closed with the exception of a small section for handicapped parking. The handicapped parking may be accessed from the road next to the Dowell Health Center.
? The lower level faculty/staff area of Towsontown garage has been expanded to accommodate individuals displaced from the Linthicum lot. In the event that no spaces are available in the Towsontown Garage faculty/staff area, permit holders will need to utilize the next closest faculty/staff lot.
? The university will be expanding off-campus shuttle service to include service to residents who live in or near the Kenilworth at Charles, Colony, Donnybrook, and Fairways apartment complexes.
? Shuttle service will continue to be available to Penn Station.
? A TU ID will be required to ride any off-campus shuttle.
