The University of Maryland system-wide collaboration project provides an opportunity for USM institutions to formally share and exchange currently-offered training programs. The intent of this partnership is to maximize limited resources and deliver training effectively, economically and efficiently.
In the spirit of this collaboration, UMBC is offering TU employees seats for one of their upcoming workshops. Attendance at the workshop is free, though participants will be required to pay for their own parking (quarter meters available onsite at $1 per hour for a total of $8.50 for the day). Driving directions and parking instructions will be sent via email after registration. Lunch will be on your own ? onsite options are available.
Managing Multiple Priorities
Date: June 23, 2008
Time: 8:30 a.m. ? 4:30 p.m.
Location: UMBC, The Commons, Room 331 (Hilltop Circle and Commons Drive)
One of the most common objections people have about the quality of their life is the lack of adequate time they have available for ?getting everything done.? In an increasingly busy and complex world, learning to manage time well can be a valuable tool for maintaining good health, reducing stress, and increasing one?s productivity and satisfaction ? both on and off the job. In this interactive workshop participants will examine their positive and negative uses of time and learn techniques for improving time management, prioritizing work, and overcoming procrastination.
