This is a reminder to all regular faculty and staff employees that deductions for all Maryland State insurance coverage will not be taken from the August 8 paycheck. Deductions are taken 24 times each calendar year, causing the skip of the upcoming pay period. Deductions will be taken as normal in the August 22 paycheck and moving forward. Payroll deductions for Supplemental Retirement plans, USM Life Insurance and USM Long Term Disability coverage are taken throughout the year and will not be skipped in the August 8 pay.
