Blackboard Instructors ? End of Semester Tasks to Protect Course Sites

We hope you have had a terrific semester. As the spring 2008 semester comes to an end, there are a few steps you must take to properly maintain your Blackboard course sites. The steps and resources are outlined below.

You are REQUIRED to do one of the following:
– Reusing: If you plan on using the same course site for an upcoming semester please fill out the course site maintenance form and specify which future semester you will be using it for.

– Copying: If you need course site materials from an existing course for an additional section or different course fill out the course site request form.

– Removing: If you no longer plan to teach this course or no longer plan to teach at the university, fill out the course site maintenance form and select “archive off site.” You are also required to create a back up of your course site before it is removed from the system.

To access the above mentioned forms please go to {http://www.towson.edu/facultyonline}. Detailed directions can be found at {http://www.towson.edu/facultyonline/endofsemester.asp}.

If you would like additional guidance on preparing for the end of the semester, we are conducting an end of the semester workshop Thursday, May 8 from 9 to 10 a.m. in Cook 3. To register for this workshop, go to the OTS Training Web site {http://www.towson.edu/otstraining}.

We appreciate your cooperation in taking the steps to properly maintain your course site. If you have any questions or need help, feel free to email {blackboard@towson.edu}.
