This is a reminder to all regular faculty and staff employees that payroll deductions for all Maryland state insurance coverages and flexible spending accounts are taken only 24 times each calendar year.
In 2008, such deductions are not scheduled to be taken from the February 6 or August 6 paycheck. Payroll deductions for supplemental retirement plans, USM life insurance and USM long term disability coverage are taken continuously throughout the year.
