Diners Club cards to be cancelled and reissued

Towson University?s contract with Citicorp/Diners Club for individual travel cards has expired, causing all current cards to become invalid effective Friday, September 21. New cards are now available for pickup at the Working Fund Office.

If you are a current Diners Club cardholder, please follow these instructions:

1. Make no further purchases or reservations using the card you have now; it will be cancelled on September 21 regardless of the expiration date printed on the card. If you have made lodging or car rental reservations with the current card, they will be honored through September 21. Purchases recently made with your current Diners Club card (including airfare) will be unaffected by the changeover to a new Diners Club card (but see Item 3 below re: Reservations).

2. Come to the Working Fund Office as soon as possible to exchange your current card for a new Diners Club card. Exchanges may be made during Working Fund Office hours, which are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Be sure to bring a photo ID and your old Diners Club card. The Working Fund Office is located in the Administration Building on the 4th floor.

3. Finally, if you used your current card to make lodging or car rental reservations for future travel, we suggest that you contact the hotel or car rental agency before September 21 and reconfirm each reservation using the new Diners Club card number.

If you recently applied for a new Diners Club card, expect a slight delay as we transition to the new contract.

If you would like to apply for a Diners Club travel card, review the travel program requirements at {http://wwwnew.towson.edu/adminfinance/fiscalplanning/financial services/Travel-PaymentOptions.asp.} To request an application or for questions regarding this notice, please contact the Financial Services Help Line at x4-5599, or {finservehelp@towson.edu}

We appreciate your patience during the changeover.
