New settings for TU?s wireless network go into effect on January 3, 2011. The old ?TowsonUWireless? configuration will no longer work and is being replaced with a new name, ?tu-secure.? We strongly encourage anyone who was not able to attend one of our six laptop configuration clinics to take time to configure their laptop before leaving for the holiday break. This will take about 15 minutes and will ensure your wireless service is working when you return in January.
You can use the simple online wizard {http://netsupport.towson.edu/cloudpath/} to configure your laptop. If you need assistance or if you have any questions, contact the Faculty/Staff Help Center at 410-704-5151 and select 2+2+2 on the voice menu.
As you may know, the university has two wireless networks that you can connect to: tu-secure and tu-guest. Laptops using the guest network should work after January 3 without reconfiguring the settings. However, each time the laptop is connected to the network, the user will be prompted for their guest username or NetID and password.
