Designated Administrative Furlough Leave Closure

In accordance with Towson?s FY 2011 Temporary Salary Reduction and Administrative Furlough Leave Plan, the university will be officially closed on Monday, March 21. On Monday, all faculty and staff employees will be required to take administrative furlough leave or other earned annual leave whether personal or holiday unless the employee:

? is normally not scheduled to work on that day; and/or
? is scheduled to work in a 24/7 operational department; and/or
? is scheduled to work an event the university is under contract to hold; and/or
? works at a non-affiliated university location (e.g. MVA) which remains open on that day.

Employees in these categories will, in conjunction with their supervisor, schedule alternate administrative furlough leave time to account for the time worked or the scheduled day off. If an employee does not have sufficient administrative furlough leave or other earned leave to use on Monday, March 21, the employee would be in a leave without pay status for that time.
