It is time to nominate a colleague for the 2012 University System of Maryland Board of Regents Staff Awards!
The University System of Maryland Board of Regents Staff Awards are the highest honor bestowed upon non-exempt and exempt employees with at least 5 years of experience by the Council of University System Staff (CUSS).
The system-wide awards offer recognition in the following categories:
(1) exceptional contribution to the institution and/or unit to which the person belongs;
(2) outstanding service to students in an academic or residential environment;
(3) extraordinary public service, within or outside the university;
(4) effectiveness & efficiency in administration or academic transformation.
Nominating a deserving colleague is easy!
1. Fill out the nomination form: {http://www.towson.edu/tusc/awards.html}
2. Include a narrative nomination letter stating why the nominee is deserving of recognition
3. Submit your nomination to your TU division vice president.
Applications should be submitted to the office of the vice president of your division (Academic Affairs, Administration and Finance, Advancement, Athletics, DECO, Student Affairs) no later than the Monday, December 12, 2011 deadline.
Eight finalists from Towson University will be forwarded to CUSS for final consideration.
By late summer of 2012, the Board of Regents will announce the system-wide recipients and each winner will receive a $1,000 stipend, a recognition plaque, and publicity of their honor.
