Opportunity for Voter Registration Classroom Presentations

The Towson 2008 Voter Registration Initiative is offering classroom presentations this fall for faculty interested in encouraging student voter registration. A team of students will be coming into classes for 5-minute presentations on how to register to vote as well as collect registrations from students who choose to register in class.

If you are interested in having a student presenter stop by one of your classes for this brief and impactful presentation, please email the following information to {emalli1@towson.edu}.

In addition, Towson University was selected to participate in a youth voter research study being conducted by Fair Vote (http://www.fairvote.org/) Fair Vote is looking to give 30-minute presentations geared specifically towards youth voters to college classes. They will track if these 30-minute presentations make an impact on youth voter turn-out. If you are interested in having your class participate in this exciting research project, please send the information asked for above to {emalli1@towson.edu} and indicate that you are willing to participate in the Fair Vote initiative. It should be noted that some Fair Vote research participants will be used as a control group, receiving a 5-minute presentation. Groups are selected randomly. If you have questions about the Fair Vote Initiative, please contact Darcy Accardi at 410-704-3921.
