Support Graduating Seniors with the Tiger Commencement Pledge

2010 Tiger Commencement Pledge

Beginning in spring 2008, Towson University adopted a Tiger Commencement Pledge for graduating seniors. Seniors are given pledge cards and black and gold ribbons to wear at graduation. Faculty and staff participating in commencement ceremonies may also participate in the pledge in support of graduating seniors, if they wish to do so. Black and gold ribbons will be provided in the faculty robing areas and will also be available outside of the Towson Center on graduation days, May 19 – 21.

The Tiger Commencement Pledge states:

As a Towson University graduate I will?

Take responsibility for the social and environmental consequences of my decisions.
Inspire others by my example.
Grow personally, professionally, ethically, and intellectually.
Embrace opportunities for community involvement.
Represent TU proudly.
