Are You Ready for Some Bowling?
Come join the re-energized FACULTY and STAFF BOWLING LEAGUE.
Years ago, Towson University had a very active Faculty and Staff bowling league. It is time to re-establish the league and we would like you to join the fun. So, if you ever wanted to try bowling but have been reluctant to spend the money for the equipment or an experienced bowler looking for an upgrade in equipment, we have a league for you! The proposed 30-week league will be initially an ?equipment league.? After the first 15 weeks, everyone will receive a bowling ball and bowling shoes. The second half of the league will be a ?money? league in which at the end of the second 15 weeks, everyone will receive the same amount of the prize fund. This makes the league ?stress-free? for the beginners or opportunity for practice for the ?high rollers.?
Format: Handicapped league (averages adjusted based on ability)
3 individuals per team (it will take about 2.5 hours to bowl three games)
Sanctioned ? awards will be given for individual and team achievements
Date: Thursday nights, starting September 7th thru December 21st for the first 15 weeks then Jan 11th thru April 19th for the second half.
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: Towson AMF, 710 Southwick Dr. Towson (off of Providence Rd., just south of the Beltway)
Cost: $17 per week; shoe rental is an additional $2.75

If you can put together your own team in advance, do so! We need a minimum of 4 teams to qualify as a league but are limited to a maximum of 12 teams due to lane availability. Join us for this fun way to do a little networking and manage stress by knocking down some pins! An organizational meeting will be held the first night of bowling at the bowling center.
