On June 6, 2012, the Office of Human Resources’ launched its NEW ‘New Hire Orientation’, Connections.
The New Hire Orientations are compared below:
Before
–The New Hire and Benefits Overview session took place every Tuesday and the University Orientation session took place on the third Friday of each month.
–Prior to coming to the sessions, the new hire would have to follow the ?New Hire Paperwork link’, fill out the forms and bring them to their Tuesday session.
Now
–Both sessions have been condensed to one and now takes place every Wednesday; the session is now named Connections and takes place from 8 – 2:30 p.m.
—New@TU is a Web page that was created to walk you through the new hire experience for your first year on the job. This allows the new hire to review information and begin connecting with the campus community before their first day; the new hire can review the page at their own pace, without being pressured.
