SPSS 18 Needs to be Upgraded Before July 31, 2012

The Towson University license for SPSS version 18 will expire on July 31, 2012. SPSS 18 will no longer run after the license expires. All university SPSS users will need to upgrade to version 19 or 20 on office computers, computer labs and smart classrooms prior to July 31.

SPSS on Virtual Workspace
The SPSS 19 version on Virtual Workspace will not be upgraded this year.

How to upgrade to SPSS version 19 or 20
For details on SPSS, including installation instructions, see the SAS/SPSS website at: {http://www.towson.edu/adminfinance/ots/hardwaresoftware/facultystaff/spsssas.asp}.

SPSS in Classrooms and Computer Labs
Colleges and departments must plan for SPSS deployments for their classrooms and labs. Generally, the Virtual Workspace two-year cycle (explained in the SAS/SPSS Web site above) is followed and they will remain at SPSS version 19.

Note: SPSS (PASW) has been renamed back to SPSS Statistics.
