On or about July 26, 2018, site fencing will be installed in preparation for the upcoming construction activities associated with the University Union Renovation and Expansion project. This fencing will be installed along the north, east and west sides of the University Union building. Additionally, the Level 2 (Main East) entry will be closed on or about August 15, 2018. The alternate Level 2 entry will be from the South Plaza.
Exterior construction activities will include demolition and rerouting of site utilities, construction of a temporary loading dock and limited site wall and sidewalk demolition. Existing loading dock access will be limited from August 15th until the switch-over to the temporary loading dock.
Interior construction activities will include the construction of temporary protective partitions, limited demolition and preparation of fire sprinkler infrastructure in advance of interior renovation activities to begin on or about October 3, 2018.
The campus community should anticipate detours and plan campus travel around the construction accordingly. Please refer to the Towson University Campus Construction web page for alternate routing to and around the University Union building during this construction.
