The IRS issued notice the maximum annual election for the healthcare flexible spending account (FSA) increases to $2,650 (from $2,600), effective January 1, 2018.
Regular faculty and staff who already submitted their health care FSA enrollment elections for 2018, via the IVR, can go back into the IVR and re-elect the healthcare FSA to the new maximum amount. The IVR is available until the end of the day November 15.
Regular faculty and staff who already submitted their health care FSA enrollment elections for 2018, via the enrollment form, can submit another form to re-elect the healthcare FSA to the new maximum amount. The enrollment form is due in the Office of Human Resources by 5 pm November 15.
No action is required if you do not want to change your 2018 healthcare FSA election.
