If you are regular faculty and staff, the paycheck you’ll receive on September 6 represents a “premium holiday.” This means your September 6 paycheck will not have payroll deductions for any of your state of Maryland health benefits – medical, prescription, dental, term life, AD&D, and flexible spending accounts. If you are enrolled in the UNUM life insurance or long-term disability insurance through the University System of Maryland, those regular payroll deductions will continue.
