Faculty will take part in an intensive hands-on examination of the most recent methodologies and research regarding quality design of online courses, culminating in the design of a cohesive and engaging module of study.
The goal of Towson’s new Online Edge Certificate Program is to assist Towson instructors as they develop facilitation, pedagogical, and technical expertise relating to online instruction. These skills form a foundation of good practice that faculty can continue to refine over time.

Over the course of a 22-day workshop, faculty will be immersed a structured design process for blended learning. The workshop includes an overview of related learning theories, followed by a series of activities that culminate in the design of a module or unit of blended instruction.
