Jericka Duncan of CBS News New York presents her lecture entitled, “How Contemporary Media Can Create New Representations of Race & Gender,” for the College of Liberal Arts’ Dr. John Gissendanner Memorial Lecture. Patrice Sanders, TU alumna and FOX 45 news anchor, will emcee and moderate.

This lecture celebrates the memory of Dr. Gissendanner, who taught English at Towson University from 1975 to 2006. It also honors his commitment to researching and teaching African American literature and African American studies.
