Get extra tech help when you need it: nominate student workers for the new Student Employee Technology Corps!

The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is launching a new program for Towson University offices and departments called the Student Employee Technology Corps (SETC). This program provides training and resources to student workers empowering them to provide immediate and on-site technology help for your office or classroom.

You can nominate student workers from your office to be part of this spring’s inaugural class of SETC participants.

The benefits for participating in this program include:

  • Free technology first-responder training for designated student employees.
  • Fast, “just in time” technology help with common technology needs, like audiovisual technology in classrooms and conference rooms, software, printers, email, computers, and more.
  • A direct link to OTS staff who can help the student employee when needed.
  • Valuable IT experience to help your student grow personally and professionally.

Need more details? See the program’s FAQs or join OTS’ Client Services for an online Q&A forum about the SETC program on Thursday, April 13, 11:00 a.m. – noon. Join by WebEx at http://towson.webex.com/meet/bachman. No registration is needed!

The forum is open to anyone who wants to learn more about SETC—you don’t have to directly supervise student workers. If you have questions prior to this session or about the program in general, please contact jleary@towson.edu.
