Towson University will be closed for winter break from Friday, December 23, 2016, through Monday, January 2, 2017. The December winter holiday hours will be granted in mid-December and the January 2 holiday hours will be granted in late December. Once granted, holidays will pre-populate for December 23, 26, and 27, 2016 and January 2, 2017 and your holiday leave balance will appear higher than usual. You must be in an active, paid status in order to earn the winter holidays.
Below is a sample timesheet to use as a guide for the winter break. If you perform work on a particular day, record D for duty day. If you use other leave during this time period, it must be recorded on the time sheet. Days which are not the designated holidays above and days on which no work is performed should be coded with the appropriate leave – holiday leave (if you saved your floating holidays for winter break), personal leave, annual leave, or leave without pay.
Faculty and staff who are in departments which observe non-traditional work hours and schedules should discuss coverage with their supervisors.
If you have questions about completing your timesheet, please email finservehelp@towson.edu. If you have questions about your leave, please email leavebenefits@towson.edu.
^ indicate floating holidays. If an employee does not have floating holidays to cover this time, and does not work, they must use accrued personal leave, annual leave, or leave without pay.
