The IRS increases the 2017 health care flexible spending account limit.

The State of Maryland Employee Benefits Division (EBD) has just announced they will increase the 2017 health care flexible spending account (FSA) limit from $2,550 to $2,600 in accordance with the change announced by the IRS.

If you have already made the 2017 health care FSA election and want to increase to the new amount, use your required enrollment method to make the change – the IVR or paper enrollment form.  EBD has updated the IVR to accept the new amount.  The change must be made before open enrollment ends on November 15.
