National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Research Stipends

Faculty in the Humanities (as defined by NEH) are eligible to apply for NEH Summer Stipends for 2017 with a value of $6,000. Applicants must be nominated by the University and its designated nominating official. In the case of Towson University, the nominating official is Terry Cooney, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. The program and its requirements are fully described at http://www.neh.gov/grants/research/summer-stipends.

Interested faculty should submit a CV and a statement of project to Terry Cooney no later than August 30, 2016. The statement should be substantive and specific and at least two to three pages in length. Those chosen as University nominees will have an opportunity to revise, expand, or polish their statements before the submission deadline of September 29, 2016. Submission will be through grants.gov with the help of OSPR.
