“Introduction to LGBTQ+ Cultural Competency”
Though much process has been made, LGBTQ+ people still experience discrimination, bias, violence, and hatred when trying to live their authentic lives. This workshop is designed to provide you with tools to start a journey toward being a cultural competency member of TU’s community and providing skills to support our LGBTQ+ community by combating the various forms of oppression they face. By attending this workshop, participants will learn about LGBTQ+ terminology, challenges LGBTQ+ people face, allyship for transgender people, and ways to be an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
