These technology items must be transferred to the TU EduCycle Computer Reconditioning Program:
- Dell Optiplex 960, 980, 990, 9010 computer models and newer
- Dell Latitude E64XX, E54XX, E65XX, E55XX and newer
- All Windows computers purchased in 2010 or later
- All Mac computers purchased in 2007 or later
- All tablets, e.g. iPads, Surface, Android, etc.
- All LCD monitors
All older models are to be transferred to Materiel Management for disposal.
How to Transfer Computers, Monitors and Tablets to EduCycle
- Follow the MMSR instructions and the existing Materiel Management property management policies.
EduCycle reconditions, diagnoses, upgrades with memory and a solid state hard drive, and redeploys the computers and monitors for several more years of productive use at Towson. Parts from broken equipment can be salvaged, so send it to EduCycle even if doesn’t work.
