For audit purposes, the University is replacing Form 311T with two new forms. The first is an interactive Student Employee Hiring Form for hiring on-campus student employees in new or additional jobs. After typing pertinent information into the form, the hiring department should print and sign it with appropriate authorized signature. The form should then be given to students to complete the hiring process according to the Student Orientation Checklist. For any other changes, use the Student Job Update Form, which replaces the 311T for Federal Work Study Recertification or Funding Code changes. Continue to use the existing three Payroll Student Quick Change Forms for updating Pay Rates, Approval Groups or Job Separations. These forms should be completed online, printed, signed and submitted to the Payroll Office for processing.
Hiring departments should begin using both forms effective 8/3/2015 and shred any existing 311T forms currently on file.
