The Biology Department has lost an esteemed and beloved colleague. It is with deep sadness that we report the untimely death of Professor Mara Lauterbach. Mara was killed in a tragic car accident on July 2, 2015. We will all miss her dearly. Mara began her long, distinguished career at Towson University in 1967. A memorial service is planned at Hunt’s Memorial United Methodist Church, Ruxton, MD (1912 Old Court Road, 21204, at the corner of Old Court and Joppa Road) on Thursday, July 9th at 11 a.m. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please remember Mara with memorial contributions to Hunt’s Memorial United Methodist Church.
