Faculty Teaching & Learning Academy

The Office of Academic Innovation will host the Faculty Teaching and Learning Academy on August 21, 2015, in the West Village Commons. The session is now open to all faculty. For additional information and to register please visit the Faculty Teaching and Learning Academy web page.

Teaching an online or blended course this Fall or Spring? Get a JumpStart this Summer!

The Office of Academic Innovation (OAI) is here to assist you via our updated online and blended course design websites, consultation services and workshops.

·         Connect with colleagues through upcoming professional development opportunities. Register here.

o    June 4 – 24: Preparing Your Course for Online Delivery (3 weeks fully online)

o    June 2 – 9: Introduction to Blended Course Design (1 week online, plus a 2-hour on-campus session on June 9, time TBD by participants)

·         OAI’s Teaching Online Website serves as a dynamic source for instructors who are interested in learning about instructional strategies at their own pace.

·         Take an online workshop with the Online Learning Consortium. To register for these workshops, contact Audrey Cutler at 410-704-5082 or acutler@towson.edu.

·         OAI staff are here to assist you with the design of your course, integration of instructional technology and development of instructional resources.

·         Lots of Topics – Online Workshops Take a short online workshop with the Online Learning Consortium. To register for these workshops, contact Audrey Cutler at 410-704-5082 or acutler@towson.edu.

·         Learn how you can use the Quality Matters (QM) rubric to enhance the design of your online or blended course by visiting the OAI QM web page.

Additional Training Opportunities

Also consider registering for the Using Panopto  on-campus workshop hosted by  OTS Training  in Cook 404A. Use Panopto to record and stream audio or video through a microphone webcam and presentations or other actions on your computer screen. Register here.
