Summer casual dress will be permitted for Towson employees beginning Tuesday, May 26 and end the first day of the fall 2015 classes, Wednesday, August 26. Offices choosing to adopt this practice should establish guidelines for staff during special internal or external activities or events at which employees represent the university.
Suggested business casual attire includes collared shirts without ties, dress slacks or khakis and golf shirts for men; dress slacks and casual shirts for women. Athletic shoes, shower flip flops, athletic pants, shorts or shirts, jeans or tee shirts are inappropriate office wear.
The University Store is holding its annual Spring Sale on TU business casual apparel now until May 22. General customers will have a 20 percent discount on clothing; some general customers will receive a scratch off coupon which will change their 20 percent discount to the discount marked on the card. Faculty and Staff will receive 30 percent off all regularly priced clothing and giftware. There will also be selected clothing and gifts in the lobby which will be 30 – 60 percent off as marked.
