Taiwanese choreographer Kun-Yang Lin?s distinctive blend of traditional and Western dance has “the dark, bold force of a woodcut print” (The New York Times). His use of space, energy and movement creates a fusion of modern dance, Asian martial arts and popular culture. Noted for its ?craft and spirituality? by Jennifer Dunning of the New York Times, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers, founded in 2002, has been recognized for the artistry of its choreography and performers. The concert is entitled, ?A-U-M: Moving Reflections on Nature & Humankind.? ?A-U-M? is an ancient and mystical sound that represents inner harmony and its relationship with universal understanding.
