Basketball season tips-off this weekend when the Tigers take on the Midshipmen from Navy Friday, Nov. 14 @ 7 p.m. in the Towson Center. There are many promotions going on for the game including a Thanksgiving Food Drive – Bring a food item to the game and receive discounted ticket, Battle of the Greeks, Pom Squad performance, and the 10 time National Champion Towson Dance Team will perform as well. Also included with the events for the game will be stand-up comedy from Paul Varghese.
Varghese has become a regular on Comedy Central and has been on tour of college campuses since his success on the hit NBC television show, Last Comic Standing 2. “Born and raised in the South, Paul’s humor starts at the randomness that is his everyday environment then detours into insecurity and sarcasm only to end up at a nice middle ground of twisted reality.” (Courtesy of ComedyCentral.com)
Paul will give a warm-up performance during halftime and also will be performing a full set after the game is over. There is also no additional cost to stick around for the second show, it is included with the price of the ticket to the game.
