Body/Image Student Art Exhibit Contest

Eating disorders and body image issues are on the rise. This event is a time to draw attention to the problem. TU students are invited to respond through visual art to this epidemic, expressing the range of reactions from body appreciation and pride to appearance shame and struggles. A panel of judges from TU?s Department of Art & Design, Art History, Art Education and the TU Counseling Center will select works to culminate in an exhibition to coincide with National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. The exhibition will open February 23rd in the Center for Student Diversity in the University Union. A reception will take place February 26 at 6:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top pieces at this reception.
